Mahoni’s: Corner of Elizabeth and Little La Trobe St, Melbourne CBD.
This is my new favorite place. I have a feeling that I will be spending a lot of time (and money, ha) on Mahoni’s, since it’s also very near to where I live. So this place has frozen yogurt. And you can add fresh fruit or other yummy toppings to it. You can eat them as is or you can choose to shake em up. Simple but very delicious! (And healthy too, apparently)
I absolutely love Mahoni’s decor, because they have beanbags. I’m a sucker when it comes to beanbags! A really cool place to hang, especially when it’s boiling hot outside. Mahoni’s also play the ‘green card’, as in, like, posing (i wouldn’t call it posing, but ugh, i can’t be stuffed opening the thesaurus to find a better word) as a healthy food corner, with it’s natural, fruity yogurt and toppings. It’s also gluten free and 100% halal, good news for you allegicos and muslims! You will not feel the slightest bit of guilt if you eat something from here, trust.
I got the small serve of Green Tea frozen yogurt and it was YUM. Cost about $3.50 and I believe it’s only $2.40 for the extra 3 toppings. I didn’t get the toppings, no, I’m a cheap fuck. But I had a good look at the toppings section and they do have fresh looking fruits and various chocolates, oreos, you know those, and also healthy shit like muesli, yeah.
Another impressive thing is that Mahoni’s have twitter! It’s quite clever, they advertise their flavors available for the day through it - I’m so following them right now! Check out their website as well, it’s cute and healthy looking, ha, and they have a Mahoni’s song too!
