It’s not a secret, really; everyone should know this:
“Chinese places in major food courts will have boxed out dishes for sale, near closing hours. They’re yummy and slutty cheap.”
This one I managed to score in Melbourne Central, the food court upstairs. Five bucks. Plenty of fried rice, lovely prawns - also there were a lot of prawns, and they’re huge - and fresh veggies with clear sauce, or whatever, some chinese thingymagic that makes it go thick and fantastic. Wow I really need to learn more about foodie vocabs. I sound like a food noob. Oh wait, I am though.
Anyways - yeah, do it. It’s cheap, it’s not stealing, and you can always buy heaps and freeze it off, stock it up and make your wallet proud.
