Tomodachi: Melbourne Central, Level 3, Melbourne CBD

Go here every Tuesday, come on, do it - if you love cheap sushi, sushi trains, and cheap japanese beers! On Tuesdays all plates are only $3.50 and all jap beers are $5, are you wow-ing yet?

Tomodachi is actually quite chilled and comforting, funny, cause the feeling I get from sushi train places are usually those of impatient and hungry patrons, vying for the next yummy plate coming straight from the kitchen, something like that. Dicks who keeps taking away your favorite sushi plate, mood ruiners. But, no, haha, tomodachi is not one of those, it was pleasant and the waitresses were helpful and nice as well. Cute too. Just some of them though.

Anyways, the only downside of the cheap deal is the variety of the sushi, it’s not much but it’s enough, I reckon. The snapper and salmon was excellent, and my friend had the squid, she said it was awesome as well. They also offer a side menu, they’re $3.50 as well, like agedashi tofu and takoyaki - the tako was alright, not the best I’ve had but suits its price.

Asahi beer is crispy and refreshing as always.

We finished about 11 plates between the two of us and the whole sushi train experience is really good to fool ourselves into thinking that we’ve ate a lot, even though it wasn’t that much but… yeah, we went home feeling full and content but not bloated, so I guess it’s good!
