Taco Bill: 412 Collins St, Melbourne CBD

Sorry about the photo guys, I know it can look kinda off-putting but Taco Bill is a real mexican badass. I love this place. I’m pretty sure on my previous life I was a mexican, no doubt. I also enjoy telenovelas very much, since I was little, just to prove a point.

Sadly we haven’t got the chance to dine-in, so we had to take it away but no matter! The food stayed fresh in the weird aluminum shit they got going on there. Whilst waiting for the food I get a taste of the awesome feeling, being in taco bill and all, with the chirpy, margarita’d tipsies and the deco - was I in mexico city? Indeed, I wish. Staff were nice, and convincing enough to actually make me believe they were mexican bandidos in disguise. No Salma Hayek or Barbara Mori look-alikes on sight though.

Anyways - this is the ‘La Combinacion’, with chicken enchilada, chicken taco and chicken taquito, frijoles and rice. At $17.95 it might not be so cheap after all… but it’s worth it, kids. The rice and enchilada is absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to come back and try out the rest of the menu.

They got some pretty sweet cocktail, happy hour deals as well, can’t remember how cheap and what it was exactly, but it involved giant margaritas and a free sombrero.
